We are a locally based company who pride ourselves on the level of service and
commitment we offer to our clients. We are based in Barry, The Vale of Glamorgan
and have been trading since November 1999.
We started as a retail outlet in Park Crescent in Barry, which we soon outgrew.
We then moved to Palmersvale Business Centre, which in a few years we also outgrew.
As we continued to grow we have now relocated to a purpose built warehouse and offices
at Atlantic Gate in Barry.
We have gained the Investors in People accreditation and won the British Small
Business Champions for Wales in November 2005, which we are sure you will agree,
speaks volumes for the type of service and commitment we offer to our clients.
We are committed to our staff here at GH Stationers. Training and development is
paramount. Many of our staff are completing NVQ qualifications to ensure they are
continually improving and gaining new skills. A number of our Supervisors are attending
a 12-week Management Improvement course to develop their management skills and knowledge. |
GH Stationers support a number of local charities and is fully committed to supporting
the environment. We offer a large range or recycled products and actively recycle in our
own office environment.
We also have an environmental policy that is reviewed annually. We offer a free collection service to recycle empty printer cartridges. These are then donated to Greensource Solutions. Last year they helped over 13 million of the world's poorest and most vulnerable people in more than 40 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. Working alongside 2,000 local, national and international organisations they make the most of their knowledge and experience to try and reduce poverty in the world. They do this by helping to ensure people get the food, safe water, shelter, education, healthcare and the means to earn a living that is their right - and to enable people to have a say in the decisions that affect their lives. We are also involved in supporting local schools, colleges and training providers
by taking part in business mentoring and work placement schemes. This is important to
us as a company, to feel we are giving back and supporting the local community we all
both live and work in. |
